Overview
The Plot View
The Plot View is where you examine and manipulate your deeds and any optional background maps (shown above) or map images. You can get to the Plot View by pressing the F5 shortcut key or by selecting Plot View from the View menu or by selecting the Plot View tab in the main window. Various commands allow you to move around the view, select one or more plots, and drag them around.
Things to Know
Use the arrow keys or toolbar buttons to move around the view. See Navigating in the Plot View for more information.
Use the PgUp and PgDn keys and the mouse scroll wheel to change scale. See Changing the Display Scale for more information.
Click on parcels, map corners, or annotations to select them for editing or moving. See Selecting/deselecting items and Moving Items for more information on how to do this.
You have substantial control of the appearance of the Plot View and the deeds and maps within it. See the View Options dialog for information about customizing the Plot View.
You may print the Plot View. See Printing Your Work. You can also save the view as a graphic file in one of several formats..

The margins of the printed page are indicated by small triangles on the top and left sides of the view, as indicated in the graphic to the left. If you don’t see these indicators it means that everything in the view will be included on the printed page. |
If the Deed Filter is enabled, the Plot View will show only those deeds that meet the Filter requirements. If you see no deeds at all, it is an indication that the Filter is enabled but no deeds pass the Filter. See Filtering Deeds.
The top and bottom of the main window contains information about the currently selected deed:
The top of the main window gives the deed file name, selected item number, and property description. If no deed is selected just the deed file name is displayed.
The bottom status area fields are the date, the seller, the buyer, whether the Text View contains Notes for this deed, and the Plot View scale per inch. If no deed is selected all fields but the scale are blank.
