Print dialog (File menu), for Plot View

Page Settings – Pressing the Settings button will bring up the Windows Print Setup dialog box which will allow you to specify page orientation, size, and page margins.  The current margin settings are shown in the Plot View window as small black triangular markers on the top and on the left side of the window.  If you don’t see margin markers it means the print area will include all of the current view.

Print Range - Select the desired number of pages of printout. In most cases you'll select 1 page, but the other choices allow you to easily print a large area. The resulting sheets can be taped together into a large map.

If a parcel is currently selected, abstracting information about that parcel (buyer, seller, date, etc.) is printed at the bottom of the page. If no parcel is currently selected then no abstracting information is printed, resulting in a somewhat larger print area.

Do not fill parcels - Check this box to create printouts where the parcels are not filled with color. Leave the box unchecked in order for the printouts to resemble the Plot View. This box allows you to reduce the amount of color ink used in your printouts while at the same time making use of plot fill during editing in the Plot View.

Print Plot + Text - This checkbox is only available if you elect to print on a single page, and only if a parcel is selected. Printing Plot + Text allows you, in many cases, to get a single sheet containing both a picture of a parcel and its associated deed description. The printed page is split in two with the top half containing the Plot View and the bottom half containing the text for the item. If there is more deed text than can be printed in half a page, the deed text continues on successive pages.

Tweak Scale – Adjust this number between 50 and 200% to make the printout larger or smaller in order to better fit it to the page. Use it in combination with Print Preview.

Print Preview – This button brings up the Windows Print Preview window that shows what the printed page will look like.
