Customizing background map display
Maps tab (View Options dialog)
To see this dialog, open the View menu and select Options. Click on the Maps tab. This tab allows you to customize the display and appearance of DeedMapper background maps.
Display - Background maps of several types (layers) are available. Checking a box will cause that map layer to be displayed. Removing the checkmark will cause the layer to not be shown. Road maps are unique in that they can be set to display major roads only, or both major and minor roads. Changes to the selections will only have effect if your project contains map layers of the affected types. In other words, changing the Public Lands display setting will only have an effect if your project contains Public Lands maps.
Standard Map Font - Pressing this button will cause the Font dialog box to be displayed. Use it to select the font normally used by map annotations. The color of the map annotation text is determined by the Text Color selection (see next).
Color Selection - You can select the display color of several kinds of map information: Streams, Roads, US Highways, and text annotations. Press the small down arrow next to each color in order to expose an array of color choices.
